Delicious Homefries


Description:

These were amazing, and very easy to make.  A single yam brought on a flavor profile that made this irresistible to finish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 yam
  • 4 potatoes (that you can grasp in your hand)
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 1/2 an onion (that you can grasp in your hand)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • cheese (?)

Steps:

  1. Dice onion and garlic into small pieces. Place in a non-stick skillet, cover with water, and simmer until water is almost gone.
  2. Skin potatoes and send through a food processor with the string disk (or just cut in thin pieces.)
  3. Rinse potatoes in water several times and dry very well.
  4. Add butter to skillet and when melted add the potato mixture
  5. Stir and coat the potato well
  6. Cook for roughly 30 minutes (or until taste/texture is done), stirring occasionally, and making sure mixture is evenly spread across the skillet.
  7. (add shredded cheese of your choice if you wish)
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
